It’s impossible to be fully prepared for parenthood. But every parent shares one simple wish:
We want our children to thrive.
Before we started our parenting journey, we had long conversations about what kind of parents we wanted to be. We agreed on two things:
- We want to be the best parents we can.
- We want our children to become the best version of themselves — not perfect, just their best.
Fast-forward a few years. We now have three energetic boys.
And one thing became crystal clear: our kids are a reflection of us.
Not copies – they each have their own spark – but mirrors of our habits, our moods, our values.
If we want our kids to grow into kind, confident, and independent humans, we have to model that first.
It starts with us.
So we began a journey of discovery – reading, questioning, observing, experimenting. We wanted to understand whether our own family patterns and cultural norms were truly helping us raise thriving children… or just repeating what we were taught.
Over the years, we’ve explored ideas from psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, child development and behavioural science. We’ve tested small changes – the kind that don’t just transform how we parent, but how we live. And the results have been profound.
Parentotheca is where we share what we’re learning.
It’s a growing library of insights – scientific, practical, and deeply human – for parents who want to raise thriving kids by growing themselves first.
We’re not experts. We’re fellow learners – parents, just like you – trying to make sense of the messy, beautiful work of raising good humans.
With love,
